Country House Bainbridge England
Fell View Cottage 81 17
Bainbridge is an attractive village about four miles from the bustling market town of Hawes in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Famous for its Roman fort and stocks on the village green, the ancient tradition of blowing the Forest horn to guide travellers out of the forest to the safety of the village in the autumn and winter months still remains. The shortest river in England, the River Bain, flows from Lake Semerwater above the village to join the River Ure a little further down the dale. The village has plenty of amenities with a good pub, a tearoom and a well stocked village shop and Post Office. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Bainbridge is an ideal base for walking or touring.
