Outside, the shared courtyard offers a small patio, a lovely space for soaking up the sunshine in warm summer months.

The beautiful village of Cartmel features the Cartmel Village Shop, specialising in supplying locally-sourced food, the home of sticky toffee!

Spend lazy summer afternoons wandering around the village, perusing its charming selection of shops and collection of fine pubs and excellent restaurants, all sitting right on your doorstep.

Why not make use of the leisure club membership available from the owner, and head down to the nearby Netherwood Hotel in Grange-over-Sands?

The village racecourse is also within yards of this Cartmel cottage and frequently, horses are ridden past the cottage from their livery yard, adding to the enchantment of this lovely Lake District village.

The Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands is just ten minutes’ drive away, boasting beautiful parks and gardens, and situated alongside Morecambe Bay.

Fell Foot Park lies on the shores of Lake Windermere, just fifteen minutes away, with views across Lake Windermere.

Lakeside is home to the ‘Aquarium of the Lakes’ and the terminus for the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway.

Hop aboard a Windermere Steamer and cruise up the lake to visit the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere, and the pretty village of Ambleside.
