Parking Worton North Yorkshire
Leave the A1 at Leeming Bar and take the A684 for Hawes, passing through Bedale (turn right at the T-junction here), Leyburn (turn left at the Bolton Arms mini-roundabout), Wensley, West Witton, Swinithwaite, Aysgarth, Worton and Bainbridge and on to Hawes. Leave Hawes on the A684 towards Sedburgh. After 1 mile you will come to Appersett. Just before the road turns right over the river there is a left turn which you take. After 1/3 mile you go under the old viaduct and we are the first building you come to a further ½ mile on. The parking area is against the building just off the road.
From M6 Northbound
Leave the M6 at Junction 34 and head for Hawes via Ingleton. 15 miles after Ingleton and 2 miles before Hawes there is a house on the right (the first on the right for several miles). Continue for 400 metres to a sharp right bend with black & white chevrons. Here there is a left turn. Take this turn and follow the single track lane for half a mile. After a 90-degree left turn you will see buildings ahead. Pass the first building and take the 90-degree right bend then pull up immediately on to the roadside parking area.
From M6 Southbound
Leave the M6 at Junction 37 and head for Hawes through Sedburgh, on the A684. 14 miles on from Sedburgh is the hamlet of Appersett. In Appersett the road turns sharp right over a bridge and then left over a second bridge with name of Appersett on a boulder. Immediately after the bridge turn sharp right on to a single track lane. After 1/3 mile you go under the old viaduct and we are the first building you come to a further 1/2 mile on. The parking area is against the building just off the road.
