Activities Newbiggin North Yorkshire

This stunning newly-renovated 18th century Grade II listed barn is finished to an exceptionally high standard.

Awarded 5 stars with the coveted Gold Award, The Byre has wonderful modern country chic styling and is designed for 21st century living, yet comfortable and cosy with woodburning stove, oil fired central heating and original period features as well as a private courtyard patio and parking with delightful views over the half-acre garden to the Dales hills beyond.

The Byre is the perfect retreat for couples wishing to spend some quality time together. Set in the working rural hamlet idyll of Newbiggin in Bishopdale, just one mile from nearby West Burton, The Byre spaciously and luxuriously accommodates 2 people who want absolute peace and quiet, yet easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park attractions and activities.

Guests can enjoy this romantic hideaway that boasts a number of luxurious touches such as a double-ended bath, his and hers bathroom sinks, a large walk-in shower, antique mahogany bedroom furniture, super king-sized (6') bed, LED TV with Freesat HD in the lounge and bedroom and bespoke oak kitchen with granite worktops. Guests can relax in front of a glorious log-burning stove set in a stunning inglenook fireplace alongside the original feature cart-horse window. The private courtyard patio overlooks the half acre landscaped garden of Eastburn Farmhouse and the Bishopdale views beyond.

With ample private parking there is no need to drive as the local pub - the Street Head Inn - is just a 150 metres stroll away where local beers and the food is highly recommended, especially Sunday lunch. Enjoy this haven of peace and tranquility that The Byre offers as a luxury escape to switch off from modern life whilst enjoying all that The Byre has to offer - quality, style, comfort and luxury. True country comfort for couples in a first class Yorkshire Dales location.

Please note that the main entrance to The Byre is at ground level at the rear of the cottage. The steps at the front of The Byre as shown in the photos were once the access to the hayloft. They now give access to and from the bedroom but are not the main entrance to the building. Hence guests can be assured there is no need to have to repeatedly go up and down external steps.
